Mind Your Brain @ Penn Medicine March 24, 2017 Breakout Session A A1: Cognitive Training, Current Trends in Rehabilitation, Remediation, and Enhancement Cognitive Training, Current Trends in Rehabilitation, Remediation, and Enhancement Led by Molly Brightbill, MS ccc-SlP, cBiS and Michael Keesler, Jd, Phd This talk will identify the different approaches to cognitive training, clarifying similarities and differences, while also exploring when various approaches are appropriate.We will also review the recent literature, headlines, and Federal Trade Commission rulings, and how these bear on the practice and industry of cognitive training. Attendees will leave better- informed about options available to the cognitively well and recovering alike, having also a better understanding of the broader landscape. Molly Brightbill, MS CCC-SLP, CBIS is a senior level, licensed speech language pathologist at Good Shepherd Penn Partners on the Brain Injury Recovery Center. Michael Keesler, JD, PhD, is a clinical neuropsychologist who completed his fellowship at Penn Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine.
